What the shop runs on
- A franchise-compliant site. The Tuffy Competition template follows the franchise's brand rules, so St. Johns has a local site of its own that stays inside the brand.
- Online scheduling inside the point of sale. A booking made on the website lands on the service writer's calendar in the shop's point-of-sale system. Nobody re-keys it, so nothing gets lost between the website and the bay.
What 10,122 bookings a year looks like
That is about 195 online bookings a week, or close to 28 for every day of the year, each one a customer who picked a time without calling the shop. It is the highest online booking count of any Tuffy location on the platform, from a customer base of 20,024 records, and every one of those bookings arrived in the point-of-sale system already filled in.
Why the connection to the POS matters
Online booking only saves time if the booking goes somewhere useful. A form that emails the front desk still needs someone to type it into the shop system, usually while the phone is ringing. Wiring the scheduler into the point of sale removes that step, which is what lets online booking grow to nearly 30 appointments a day without adding work at the counter.
What another shop can take from this
Make booking online easier than calling, and put the booking where the service writer already works. If your shop management system is one we integrate with, the same setup is available to you.
